Preferred plot summary
[edit]On January 12, 2008 a user with the IP address 141.211.120.201 wrote a summary of the plot of this webisode. Then I rewrote his summary. Two days later he reverted my edit, and now I restored it. I submit this for discussion. Check out both of them, and let us know which you think is better. - Shaheenjim (talk) 00:00, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- I like Shaheenjim's version better. The condensed version is more concise without any real loss of content. - 24.45.11.213 (talk) 01:38, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm the one who wrote the original version that you edited. I think that when you condensed it, you left out a lot of important details, and you also introduced a few grammatical errors into it. That's the reason why I reverted it. But I'll see what others have to say about it. - Jbmorgan4
Airing time vs. in-show time
[edit]This article appears before "sometimes a great notion" in the chronology in the information box on the article. While it was aired before episode 13, the story happens at least after the episode - it might happen after a few more. Is this chronology supposed to represent airing time or in-show time ? If it's the airing, it's quite redundant with the "original airing" field. I understand it might be impossible to have perfect chronological order with flashbacks and movies happening during the course of other episodes, but shouldn't it at least be attempted ? WarKosign (talk) 19:33, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Interesting topic. I say we list both. The order in which it was aired, and the order in which it takes place in the timeline of the series. - Shaheenjim (talk) 22:20, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Episode chronology
[edit]The mid season premiere was "Sometimes a Great Notion" then after that was the episode "A Disquiet Follows My Soul" then after that was the episode "The Oath." These webisodes were sometime between "Sometimes a Great Notion" and "The Oath" but there has been some dispute over whether they were before or after "A Disquiet Follows My Soul."
The webisodes were set nine days after discovering Earth. They discovered Earth immediately before the episode "Sometimes a Great Notion." Then I think there was a gap of a couple of months between "Sometimes a Great Notion" and "A Disquiet Follows My Soul." So that would indicate that these webisodes were before "A Disquiet Follows My Soul."
That's further supported by the fact that the episode "The Oath" follows immediately after "A Disquiet Follows My Soul." There wasn't time in between them for the webisodes. - Shaheenjim (talk) 21:26, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm going off of, for instance, this interview with Ron Moore. A quote: the events of the "Face of the Enemy" Webisodes happened after what transpired in "Sometimes a Great Notion," the Jan. 16 episode, and before the events of "Disquiet." Seem pretty clear to me, unless there are conflicting reports somewhere? -Phoenixrod (talk) 22:42, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
