"Neutrality of this article is disputed"

[edit]

@+JMJ+ According to you, what is so disputed about the neutrality of this article? I would really want to find out. Olek Novy (talk) 09:55, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article is written from a Polish perspective and sidesteps all non-Polish groups in Vilnius at the time (considering that most of the article is translated from Polish Wikipedia, that's most likely due to others instead of you). For example, very little is written about the retreating Germans despite their relevance to the situation in Vilnius at the end of 1918 and start of 1919. The Jews are mentioned, but they essentially vanish during the rest of the article. I think the section of "The governments of the Belarusian People's Republic and the Republic of Lithuania towards the fighting for Vilnius" should be renamed but also integrated into the sections about the background and the course of the events, instead of just being shoved to the edge. +JMJ+ (talk) 21:16, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The same "Polish Perspective" is used on the Russian, Belarusian and Czech Wikipedia, Olek Novy (talk) 10:34, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That does not make it any less pro-Polish. Others translating the text into their languages does mean that it is now neutral. For example, translating Russian propaganda into Polish would not suddenly mean that the propaganda is now accurate fact. +JMJ+ (talk) 18:43, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And how is this Article pro-polish in the first place? and how is it written from a polish perspective? Olek Novy (talk) (talk) 16:33, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can this article be assessed? @Piotrus @Gog the Mild Olek Novy (talk) 17:23, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I'd recommend going to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Military_history/Assessment#Requests_for_assessment, milhist is very active and someone will surely do it. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:05, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
