This article's description of the No Gun Ri massacre needs to better conform with the WP article on same. For starters, this article says U.S. troops "allegedly" killed refugees at No Gun Ri, but investigations by the U.S. and South Korean governments confirmed the massacre in 2001. I will fix, to include casualty estimates. On a related matter, this article, with sketchy sourcing, broadly overstates the role played by refugee "infiltrators" or "disguised" North Korean troops in the U.S. defeat at Yongdong. First Cav Div commander Gay himself, in later communication with Army historian Appleman, blamed his defeat on flanking attacks by regular NK troops. There was a seven-mile gap between his battalions at Yongdong! No need to dress up like farmers. But fixing that is a more complicated challenge and can wait. Thanks. Charles J. Hanley (talk)
