Problems with entry on John Moore
[edit]I've recently noted in the wikipedia entry on Lt. Col. John Moore that facts are given that appear to be based on two different people. The one who served at Ramsour's Mill was a native of the area, not of New York, as correctly noted here: http://www.carolana.com/NC/Revolution/loyalist_leaders_nc_john_moore.html. I have posted to discussion on that page, but it appears to get low traffic, so I'm also posting here. I plan to revise the John Moore page to reflect only the North Carolina one if I do not receive contrary information in a short time. The New York/New Brunswick John Moore may deserve his own page, but I am not familiar with any facts to warrant that at this time. Ftjrwrites (talk) 20:27, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
Captain Gilbreath Falls
[edit]I notice a visual graphic that assigns Captain Falls to the 'Loyalist' cause...shows a Union Jack next to his name.
This is incorrect.
He was a Captain under Colonel Locke of 'Whig', Patriot militia from Rowan Co., NC. Was also the Sheriff of Rowan.
Multiple sources available to show him on Patriot side:
"Among the Whigs killed were Captains Dobson, Falls, Armstrong, Smith, Sloan, and Bowman".

Falls' son:
"– marched to Lincoln by Sherrill's Ford on Catawba River to a Camp on Mountain Creek – went to Ramsour's under Colonel Locke and Major Rutherford was present in the Battle in which his Father Captain Falls was killed,"...

Since he died for that cause at the battle, seems that should be set right.
I removed him from Loyalist listing.Sunturtle (talk) 21:18, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
