False depiction of events

[edit]

This article needs to be deleted. None of the sources, which appear to give only one side of events, have page numbers. Created by a sockpuppet.

This was a smaller skirmish which was part of the larger Battle of Bitlis. Both cities ended up re-occupied by Russia by the end of August, at which point both armies went into winter quarters.

Greenwood Press, page 143; "While Russian General Nikolai Yudenich seized Erzincan, Ahmet Izzet Pasha's Second Army advanced agains the Russian left flank, where his corps cammder Mustafa Kemal seized Bitlis and Mus. Yudenich counter-attacked and, after prolonged combat west of Lake Van, he retook Bitlis and the Turks abandoned Mus before winter ended the fighting." --Kansas Bear (talk) 22:15, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are right, however, the Ottoman command launched a general offensive aimed specifically at Mush, and the Russians defeated the Turks as a result of the offensive Dushnilkin (talk) 19:13, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox "Result"

[edit]

Please note that Template:Infobox military conflict#Parameters states against "result" that "this parameter may use one of two standard terms: "X victory" or "Inconclusive"." The infobox has been amended to reflect this. Please read the template "result" guidance in full before amending or reverting. It would probably be best to discuss any proposed change here first to seek consensus. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:50, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed it again today! Annwfwn (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Content and outcome

[edit]

The article needs to be completely redone because only an excerpt of the long battles for Mush that lasted in July-August 1916 is indicated here. Dushnilkin (talk) 12:31, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
