I am almost certain that the Abu Shusha linked to in the article now, is not the "right" Abu Shusha. There were three villages which were "depopulated" in 1948 by that name, and only one of them has an article, so far. Also; the present Abu Shusha article is somewhat of a mess; I´suspect that some of the material there belongs in the, as yet, unwritten "Abu Shusha"-articles. - You are right.
- I want to point out that this references given in this article are a mess.
- Writing Morris, without given the year, is not acceptable.
- All I can say is that it is not the Birth ... Revisited, 1948 or Victims. I assume it is the first version of the Birth.

Diffeerences between English and Hebrew versions of this page
[edit]There are significant differences between this article and the Hebrew version of the same article (located at http://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%A7%D7%A8%D7%91_%D7%9E%D7%A9%D7%9E%D7%A8_%D7%94%D7%A2%D7%9E%D7%A7#.D7.9E.D7.A2.D7.A8.D7.9B.D7.AA_.D7.9E.D7.A9.D7.9E.D7.A8_.D7.94.D7.A2.D7.9E.D7.A7 , as the articles are not cross-linked). Some notable differences: 1) The Hebrew article makes note that the truce offered was initiated by the ALA, not the British as stated in the English article. Additionally, the Hebrew article claims that the second (extended) truce was offered so the ALA could divert its forces to the Jerusalem front (but this claim lacks citations). 2) The English article makes no mention of the role of the neighboring Arab villages in the battle, and no mention of the cause-and-effect relationship between said role and the Israeli destruction of these villages. According to the Hebrew article, these villages served as staging points for the ALA forces, and ALA artillery and mortars were placed in these villages. Additionally, the English article makes no mention of the counter-attack staged by ALA forces on April 11th and 12th, the latter of which was defeated by Israeli ambush and resulted in heavy losses to ALA forces and artillery. 3) The English article makes no mention of civilian deaths in Mishmar HaEmek, as a result of the ALA bombings. Considering the article does mention Arab civilian deaths during the aftermath, I'd suggest this reflects poorly on the article's neutrality.
- Ehh Yes, I'm Spanish, sorry for my poor English, but I think that this is is for the false account of Benny Morris, a very very untruth fellow. See Efraim Karsh for a list of their lies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.138.198.171 (talk) 22:42, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
As an aside, the English article contains a citation by disputed historian Ilan Pappe ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilan_Papp%C3%A9#Critical_assessment ), whose work has been criticized by the same Morris cited multiple times in this article: "Unfortunately much of what Pappé tries to sell his readers is complete fabrication. [...] This book is awash with errors of a quantity and a quality that are not found in serious historiography". While it is far from this writer to judge historical accuracy, perhaps removal of this citation would be better.
