Talk:Battle of Meligalas/FAQ
Appearance
- Q:There are graves of children with their names available on the web which aren't mentioned in the article!
- A: Wikipedia is based on Reliable Sources. As a result of that, we cannot add information which is reproduced only in specific web pages. The youngest person executed , according to the available reliable sources, was 15 years old.
- Q: That seems unfair! Is wikipedia trying to censor the truth and embellish the Massacre of Meligalas?
- A: Wikipedia is not censored. The paragraphs Reprisals and executions and Casualty estimates are analyzing in detail the executions, the executors and the victims.
- Q: The article does not state exactly how many were executed.
- A: There is a controversy between the number of the executed prisoners ranging between 350 and 2,500. The most analytic primary record comes from the retired Colonel Hlias Theodoropoulos (Greek: Ηλίας Θεοδωρόπουλος), which notes 2,500 executed people, but gives only the names of 1,144 individuals.
- Q: What happens if I find/have reliable secondary sources which mention victims under the age of 15?
- A: Then you would be more than welcome to show them to us as well, and they will be incorporated into the article.
