Deletion of Reference to Palmares
[edit]I am proposing deletion of the section in "Aftermath" that describes the connection between the deportation of losing people in the battle and the formation of the runaway community of Palmares of Brazil. This was put in text in 10 January 2014 by a user with only an IP address. To the best of my knowledge there is no evidence for such a connection, but I will wait some days before finalizing the deletion to allow for discussion.
- Yeah, this section is strange, it says:
- "at some point in 1630 [...] princess Aqualtune (who led a battalion during the battle), [...] appeared enslaved in [...] Brazil"
- but the battle was fought in 1665, in Africa. 177.104.112.3 (talk) 10:03, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
