Will take this one. I'll post comments within 3-4 days. KCVelaga (talk) 16:39, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- Lead and infobox;
- Please remove the flag icon for "205th Brigade" in the infobox, for two reasons; firstly I find it misrepresenting as it is not the flag of the brigade, secondly exceptions for use of flag icons in the infoboxes is for countries, on their first mention, per WP:INFOBOXFLAG
- Done.
- the force's only tank loss to combat during the war; no required in the lead
- Removed.
- Please add more info in the lead on the Uganda forces successfully withdrawing, and a little bit about immediate aftermath.
- I've added more detail on the Ugandan retreat, but I'm not sure what more about the aftermath there is that's relevant to be included in the lead.

- Section 1; Background
- Link President of Uganda entirely to President of Uganda.
- Done.
- Amin installed himself as President and ruled the country under a brutal dictatorship; this sentence is not pleasing in various ways, firstly it isn't neutral with the use of "word" brutal, and sounds redundant to me.
- "Brutal" changed to "repressive". This is still in line with the source.
- In 1971 Idi Amin launched a military coup that overthrew the President of Uganda, Milton Obote, precipitating a deterioration of relations with the neighbouring state of Tanzania. Amin installed himself as President and ruled the country under a brutal dictatorship; I suggest rephrasing the entire part to In 1971 Idi Amin overthrew the democratically elected President of Uganda, Milton Obote, and installed himself as the President. This precipitated a deterioration of relations with the neighbouring state of Tanzania. Kindly tweak as necessary.
- Err, Obote wasn't exactly democratically elected (see Mengo Crisis). And I think it's important to establish that Amin ruled via "dictatorship", as it falls in line with the repressiveness of his rule (as in this article it mentions executions carried out by his agents) and explains why there was opposition to it.
- anti-Amin opposition; don't "anti" & "opposition" give the same sense, I think "opposition" can be dropped.
- Changed "opposition" to "militant".
- In a matter of months; please be specific or I suggest giving month and year if available
- The time span is already given in the article; Uganda attacked Tanzania in October 1978, and the Tanzanians occupied the Ugandan capital on 11 April 1979.
- (unified under the umbrella organisation "Uganda National Liberation Front", abbreviated UNLF) -> (unified under the umbrella organisation, Uganda National Liberation Front (UNLF))
- Done.
- With his military disintegrating or already in open revolt; use of "or" seems confusing, hasn't that been clarified by the source. I think "and" would be more reasonable.
- I've entirely removed "or already in open revolt". A few garrisons turned against Amin after Kampala fell, but they played a mostly minor role in the remaining span of the war, only serving to remove a few towns from his control. The force's overall disintegration, however, was quite important in shaping the nature of the rest of the conflict
Thus, t"T"he Tanzanians and the UNLF allies- Done.
- Link President of Uganda entirely to President of Uganda.
- Section 2; Prelude
- occupied the town of Masindi; when?
- Sources are not clear on this point; it was sometime after the Battle of Sembabule, which ended in early April.
- was ordered to capture Gulu; when?
- Sources are not clear on this point.
- instructed to secure the West Nile District; when?
- Sources are not clear on this point.
- via
the"a" bridge at Karuma Falls; are you sure that there was only one bridge?- Yes; as it says in the article, there were only three (road) bridges over the Nile in Uganda at the time. The second was in Pakwach, and the third was near Jinja.
under"commanded by" Brigadier Muhiddin Kimario- Done.
- 60 kilometres; please use {{convert}}
- Done.
- by a gasoline shortage -> due to gasoline shortage
- Done.
- A comma(,) after "fuel had arrived in Masindi"
- Done.
- occupied the town of Masindi; when?
- Section 3; Battle
- of 17 May; year please?
- 1979 added.
- Karuma Falls Bridge; did bridge have an official name as this, else I prefer saying "bridge at Karuma Falls"
- Yes, sources also sometimes simply call it "Karuma Bridge".
- gathered "to the" north of the bridge
- Done.
- They conducted; please mention if it was the Ugandans or the Tanzanians. Since the preceding sentence mentions both of them, it sounds a bit confusing.
- Specified as "The 205th Brigade".
- north bank -> northern bank
- Done.
- advancing the Ugandan troops subjected them to small-arms fire -> advancing towards the Ugandan troops and subjecting them to small-arms fire
- I think you misread this. I've added a comma for clarity so it now reads: However, when the Tanzanians began advancing, the Ugandan troops subjected them to small-arms fire.
- Please link "Lieutenant Colonel"
- Done.
- of 17 May; year please?
- Section 4; Aftermath
- The Tanzanians secured Karuma Falls, and the 205th Brigade continued ...; I think this part should come to the beginning of the paragraph, and rather explaining the stats of the war.
- I've moved the discussion of casualties to its own section, leaving this as the lead off for the Aftermath section.
