Image or no image?
[edit]Support I believe the use of the image, done by yours truly, is beneficial to the article. There are no other images out there that depict the Battle of Dongxing and so I painted this and touched up on it via GIMP to sharpen the rendering and add the moon, shadows, etc.
Could there be a better image if someone else (or me) was to draw up another? Certainly. But I believe the image is in no way harming the overall article and I believe it does appear encyclopedic. It's not like I drew a sketch of Dynasty Warriors.........
On Wikipedia we strive to enhance the articles of the site, and one way encouraged is images.
A sufficient image versus no image? I'll take using the image. After all if you want a better image you could just create one yourself.

- Oppose. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. We believe in using quality images instead of self-created images (even though exceptions do apply) to enhance articles. Besides, Wikipedia is not a gallery for you to showcase your art pieces. LDS contact me 03:54, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- Comment on the above statement and objection to something said in the above Opposition vote "We believe in using quality images of self-created images" makes no sense. There is no correlation in this statement. Using an image to enhance the quality of the article is not showcasing art pieces. I am in no way trying to show off artwork rather than use it to enhance articles. I plan on making more (and better) images for the 3K project for the sole purpose of enhancing the articles and I can say right now that I do not plan on showcasing my art pieces. If I wanted to showcase them I'd take them to an art show and I wouldn't be throwing it into PD. Eric - Contact me please. - Update: By "more (and better) images for the 3K project" I do not mean replacing. I mean for articles that have no images for them. Eric - Contact me please. I prefer conversations started on my talk page if the subject is changed 04:52, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
