I'm not sure how to go about completing this article. It was an Encarta article for which there was no Wikipedia equivalent. While there is information on this battle on several pages (including USS Kearsarge, CSS Alabama, etc.) there is no single page for the battle. If anyone has any ideas on how it should be handled, let me know. Thanks Paul 21:53, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]"Strength" descriptions were reversed: Everything was entered in 2-1 order except "Strength", which was 1-2. Except the descriptions themselves were in 2-1 order, stating "strength1 = 1 sloop-of-war" and "strength2 = 1 screw sloop-of-war".
I switched it to "strength1 = 1 screw sloop-of-war" and "strength2 = sloop-of-war". Then I removed the "1" from "1 sloop-of-war". I mean, could the CSS Alabama possibly be 2 or 3 sloops-of-war? I think not. I didn't cite a reference other than the text itself describing the Kearsarge as a single screw and a boiler below decks and the gallery pictures showing the Kearsarge with a stack with exhaust amidships.
I thought it was just a typo. The EDIT page didn't allow for a real explanation of the change. Funny how one misplaced screw can mess things up! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TR Amnesia (talk • contribs) 01:44, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
