Why say " Military Union for freedom of France led by Poland's Ernest de Lipowski"?
He was not Polish. He was born in France and had a French mother. Having a Polish paternal ancestor doesn't make you Polish (in fact, his father and the mother of his father were not even Polish). It wouldn't cross your mind to say "France's Davy Crockett" despite the fact that he had French ancestors, right?
