Relevance of Escobar's guerillas

[edit]

The last paragraph quotes historian Robert Lapham's statement concerning the nature of Captain Emilio Escobar's guerillas, but they are not mentioned elsewhere in the text or the info box and the relevance of the statement in this connection is thus unclear. The possible role of Escobar's guerillas in the battle that is the subject of this entry should be clarified or the paragraph removed as irrelevant.--Death Bredon (talk) 14:48, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I note that it is now nearly three years since I made the above comment but nothing has happened. I move that the paragraph in question be removed.--Death Bredon (talk) 13:52, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I came to the same conclusion, independently. I have removed the text. If it gets put back in, it should be with an explanation of how Escobar is relevant to this battle.Brianyoumans (talk) 02:41, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
