Why did the Rolf Krake leave the area?
[edit]- This link says that at the Battle of Dybbøl "Panserbatteriet Rolf Krake" suffered 1 dead and 10 wounded. Was this "armoured battery" the ship? If so, it may have left the Als area because of shelling damage and crew casualties. It would likely have been a target for any nearby Prussian artillery.
