Bats / BATS

[edit]

BATS Global Markets is the third largest US stock exchange operator, having grown from zero twenty years ago. While the company's full name is BATS Global Markets Inc., in the securities trading industry it's universally known simply at "Bats". See the BATS Global Markets article itself which, after the first sentence, simply calls the company "BATS". Unfortunately, if you simply put "BATS" in the wikipedia search bar, and don't add "Global Markets", you get redirected to the page about our flying friends. That was why the page was set up the way it was.

For the record, I've no connection with BATS or its competitors whatsoever.

I suggest we split the difference by sending the redirect to the disambiguation page i.e. anyone searching for "Bats" goes to disambiguation. That way, I think, nobody is misled. Fiachra10003 (talk) 18:38, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
