Merge: Batman Beyond

[edit]

Is there a good reason for this page to exist independently? The character doesn't appear outside of the Batman Beyond context, and that article already gives all of the important details. Opinions? Simnel 19:28, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I personally always thought this guy deserved his own article, as several DCAU supporting characters not approaching his level of importance (e.g.: Galatea) have their own pages. The Batman Beyond page is also not very well organized. --Ace ETP 18:51, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think, despite the recent improvements, the current quality of this article warrants independent existence. As the vote on the Batman Beyond page is slightly in favor of the merge, I'm gonna do so as soon as I get the time. Simnel 15:10, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think McGinnis deserves his own article. He's the second fulltime Batman. He's a DCAU original, independent character. He had his own comic and is a part of the main DC continuity. He fulfills all the criterias Harley Quinn does, and more. --Antrophica 07:17, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uh...technically existing in the future separates ter from main DC continuity the same way characters in MC2 are separated from the current marvel continuity.

Anyway, it's nice to know we have or had douche on top of this half hearted merger attempt. Ace Class Shadow 08:01, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Despite that he's a successor to the role, this is a completely individual character, like Cassandra Cain, with his own mythos. It's also brilliant to see that Blight and Inque have articles of their own, but not the protagonist of the show. --Antrophica 11:05, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If this was going to be merged with anything, it should be merged with Batman. Multiple versions of Aquaman The Flash and Robin exist on the main page of all of them.122.46.174.121 (talk) 06:05, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think this page should stay separate, and I suggest a name change to "Terry McGinnis". --Muna (talk) 23:49, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Batman: The Animated Series/Animated Series Batman (character)

During the creation of of that "late" article I always stated that it was a draft or unproject. It took weeks until Bennon cleverly figured out what I was trying to do was a sandbox (which I didn't know how to do until now). Now everyone can edit it with no time pressure and talk about what to do with the info when i's finally finished. I coul'd have created the sandbox in my own talk page, but I don't want anyone to assume I "OWN" the project. Feel free to erase, add and source stuff to improve it.--T-man, the wise 22:34, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article follows the same line of thinking that created this very article, lets asy it's just the bio of the Old Bruce Wayne appearing in Batman Beyond, but got extended up to his very origins. The material should end up looking like Question (comics), or Joker (comics) "In other media" sections.--T-man, the wise 22:56, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Parallels to cb version of Tim Drake

[edit]

Ok, we all know that the cartoon version of Tim Drake is based of of Jason Todd, but has anyone noticed the similarities between Terry and the comic book version of Tim Drake? Both were never formally adopted by Bruce, both lived with their own families, both fathers were murdered by villains, both have a similar attitudes, both have the same basic relationship with Bruce Wayne, and -most noticeably- Tim Drake will supposedly become the second batman. Is this worth mentioning?

Nope. Too speculative. --Antrophica 20:06, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe (JoeLoeb (talk) 01:32, 18 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Tim has now been formally adopted by Bruce and both Jean Paul Valley and Dick Grayson have been Batman. Not to mention Jason and Tim in "Battle for the Cowl" were both Batman.129.139.181.43 (talk) 13:28, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:AdultTerry.jpg

[edit]

Image:AdultTerry.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:05, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request Block

[edit]

Too many new members and unregistered users are using this as a sandbox, ruining the viability of the topic. I request a block. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SuperSaiyaMan (talkcontribs) 05:23, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date source

[edit]

Occasionally, editors will change the birth date between these two dates:

  • June 27, 2023
  • August 18, 2023

Since there are consistently only two dates, my guess is that there are two conflicting sources. Another possibility is another wiki-based source that is itself based on the root sources. Flatscan (talk) 23:29, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong first Appearance in the info box

[edit]

The info box says that his first comic appearance was Batman 700, but according to "Batman Beyond (comics)" "After an initial 6-issues limited series released in March 1999, Batman Beyond had its own comic book series, running through November 1999 until October 2001, for a total of 24 issues." He had appeared in comics much earlier. Will change soon.129.139.1.75 (talk) 17:29, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other Media

[edit]

Terry's advanced outfit has been featured as downloadable or bonus content in Batman: Arkham City. It's also available in Injustice: Gods Among Us. The costume is also available for avatar use on Xbox Live. I Feel Like Their Should Be An Arkham Knight Listing For Costume Because There Is An Armorized Version Of His Normal Suit In It. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.67.102.98 (talk) 22:18, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
