- Oppose per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (places): "Places are often disambiguated by the country in which they lie, if this is sufficient. However, when tags are required for places in Argentina (except province capitals that are named like the province), Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Federated States of Micronesia, South Africa or the United States, use the name of the state, province, territory, region (Italy only) or county (Ireland only), or department (France only) if the place lies within a single such entity." Also, I have moved the Canadian-related article to a qualifier of (Nunavut). -- JHunterJ (talk) 10:58, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- "Australia" is certainly a better disambiguator, as it is recognizable to more readers than "Northern Territory." There are only two Wiki topics for "Bathurst Island", and this one is more notable. It got 5,200 page views in the last 90 days, compared to 3,300 for the Canadian island. So it should be primary, per WP:TWODABS. Kauffner (talk) 02:09, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- That's not enough to show primarity. There should be a disambiguation page. 70.49.124.225 (talk) 05:42, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
