It's from an article in 1990 (the single external link as of now) so it may be adjusted up till then. It doesn't say in the article if they adjusted it to 1990 dollars. In either case that number would be larger in 2006 dollars. --AK7 04:00, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Merge Project x-ray to Bat bomb

Both articles clearly have the same subject. "Project x-ray" is newer, and less developed. It also carries the name of the project that was applied fairly late in its development. Therefore, I propose that "Project x-ray" be merged into "Bat bomb", with a redirect from Project x-ray to "Bat bomb". --Blainster 21:36, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

There have been no responses within the last week to the merge tag (which was placed by another editor) other than mine. Also, it turns out that the content of "Project x-ray" was copied from a linked external website, and thus a probable copyright violation. Therefore the Project x-ray article has been made into a redirect to "Bat bomb". --Blainster 16:27, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Wait, what's this about X-rays? I didn't get that. It just showed up in the article without explaining what it was.

Opening Sentence

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That's harsh! What a thing to do to a bat!

For some reason I seem to remember hearing this as something where the bomb was supposed to drop off of the bat as soon as it had time to rest and roost... like it'd be able to get it off, just not during the dropping phase cuz it'd be too busy sorting its wits out. However, I also seem to remember reading that the plan failed miserably because they couldn't get bombs small enough for a bat to carry. Whatever sources those were seem to conflict with this article.

But even if the bomb dropped off the bat, it would still be UNDER the bat, so I don't think that would help the bat much. And though you could time the bomb to drop off before the bat likely got where it was going, then that would defeat the purpose, (getting the bombs into small innaccessible places in buildings). I thought about the bats too, but I guess it saves pilots lives. And let's face it, people who aim to recklessly start a lot of fires won't care too much about a lot of bats.

This bat bomb thing is such a great idea, I'm amazed I'd never heard about it before (I even had to check out the history page to make sure it was old enough to probably not be a spoof), lets hope not too many terrorists read this webpage. ChristineD 21:58, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

April Fools Day FA?

This article would make an excellent April Fool's Day FA. Not because it is a creative work of fiction like the George Washington (inventor) article of 2007, but because it is real and nobody will believe it is so.
