notable basque chileans

[edit]

per WP:BLP and WP:RS i've removed all the family and people's names from the list as they are all unsourced. if anyone has sources for these people actually being of basque descent, and notable, please feel free to add them back. Theserialcomma (talk) 23:04, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and as you keep being told, maybe you should be doing the legwork here. Some of us actually go and track down references you know. Others are just lazy (hint hint). Leave off the WP:ABCs and do some work yourself!--MacRusgail (talk) 11:43, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
i keep being told by you to ignore wikipedia policy and violate WP:RS and WP:BLP, but i have no intention on doing so. whether i track down references or not is irrelevant to the policy. if you don't like the rules of this place, then maybe this place isn't for you. Theserialcomma (talk) 18:36, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Calm down. I must admit that on the List of Basques and People with Basque ancestors pages it was easier just taking out anything that wasn't unrefd either there or on the bio pages and then starting from near-scratch. These Basque lists have become so messy over the years... Glad to see people join in the clearup! Akerbeltz (talk) 10:28, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cut the abbreviations, please, and use a bit of commonsense, Serial Comma. This is an interesting article. Surely you can hunt down some references. Some of us have to do that kind of thing all the time! --MacRusgail (talk) 16:58, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
those "abbreviations" are hyperlinks links to wikipedia POLICIES. you can actually propose changes to wikipedia policies if you wish, since anyone can edit the encyclopedia; however, this talk page is not the place for that. Theserialcomma (talk) 20:09, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They're also no substitute for common sense, and a bit of legwork. Do something useful on this page, and stop thinking bureaucrat. You're not even being paid for it.--MacRusgail (talk) 14:46, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
