[edit]This article was proposed for deletion by Eeekster giving the reason that it is non-notable church. On the contrary, it is a very notable church, very ancient and very famous. If you give a search in google for “Champakulam St. Marys Church”, you get near to 1.5 lakhs (145 thousand) results. Every year thousands of tourists visit this church. Many thousands of devotees from various parts of India come for the annual feasts. Hundreds of people attend Sunday masses. A lot of organizations including schools and hospitals have been originated from the Church, many of them still working under the church’s administration.
I agree that the contents of the page are incomplete and needs a lot of improvement. I will try to improve it as I get time and proper references. I’m sure even other people (who know about the church) will help improving the content.
So request to not delete this article. - Bennyvk (talk) 11:13, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
