The precise location seems to be either split between Crewe and Basford or wholly in Basford -- the OS map labels it in Crewe, but the planning map labels it in Basford CP. See [1] (you have to add the parish layer to the map). It's also very close to Shavington cum Gresty CP, which might well cover the site of the new HS2 depot? Espresso Addict You've changed it to being near Crewe, which is about as exact as it can get. Most (if not all) citations are from a railway source, which has always traditionally labelled it as Crewe, whether or not it actually is. WP:CN would dictate that the article should be titled Crewe Basford Hall Yard, but that didn't fit other railway yards such as Tinsley (Sheffield), so I left it as Basford Hall Yard. The coords and Gridref are in the centre of the yard, and I think that is good enough (for me anyway!). Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 13:44, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
