Talk:Baseball in Israel
As a now-retired editor/writer of some 40 years, I continue to be amazed -- throughout the worldwide web -- by the overwhelming lack of proper grammar and syntax, the constant use of poor punctuation, and simply the horrible lack of decent writing. Having read just the first paragraph of this creation, it confirms all that I've shared! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Umpref54 (talk • contribs) 23:14, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
Creating page
[edit]This page for a long time has just been a redirect to the IBL page. That didnt really make much sense though because because why should generic israeli baseball topics and the WBC be in the page of a league that hasn't been around for 7 years. All information from the IBL page that didnt relate to it was moved here and a See Also link was added in its place. Hopefully baseball in Israel continues to pick up steam and we can add more to this, but there is definitely enough baseball in Israel to warrant it own page. - Galatz (talk) 00:18, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Categories
[edit]I have removed the article from Category:Baseball in Asia by country and Category:Baseball by country, as these are container categories and as such should only include sub-categories and not articles. Dunarc (talk) 23:54, 25 January 2019 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Baseball in Israel
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Baseball in Israel's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Haaretz":
- From Israel national baseball team: "ישראל לא היתה אמורה לשחק בייסבול באולימפיאדה. בטעות עוד תצמח לה משם מדליה - ענפים נוספים - הארץ". הארץ.
- From Tel Aviv: "Depeche Mode to kick off next world tour in Israel". Haaretz. Archived from the original on 24 December 2008. Retrieved 6 October 2008.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 10:16, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
