Notability
[edit]The question of notability has been raised. Finding sources needs to take into account that many are behind paywalls (e.g., newspaper archive). Also, the 'Bartol Research Institute' changed its name and many newspaper articles contain the old name 'Bartol Research Foundation'.
Here is plenty of evidence for notability.
Public Newspapers
Significant coverage in the The Philadelphia Inquirer over an extended time: https://philly.newspapers.com/search/#query=Bartol+Research
New York Times, e.g.,: https://www.nytimes.com/1939/04/23/archives/test-with-cosmic-ray-made-for-world-fair-bartol-foundation-shows.html?searchResultPosition=1
If somebody has a good way to automatically search all major newspaper archives, please help to find more sources.
Books
The institute is mentioned in several books, e.g.: "Lawrence and Oppenheimer" by Nuel Pharr Davis and "The Telescope in the Ice" by Mark Bowen.
Public Funding
The institute received public funding, e.g., by the National Science Foundation: https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=9602788&HistoricalAwards=false
an by the Federal Government of the USA: https://books.google.de/books?id=lp43AAAAIAAJ&pg=RA8-PA6&dq=%22Bartol+Research+Foundation%22+%22grants+from+the+Federal+Government%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiCzNvev4jqAhVB_SoKHRdlBLQQ6AEIJzAA#v=onepage&q=%22Bartol%20Research%20Foundation%22%20%22grants%20from%20the%20Federal%20Government%22&f=false
International Conferences
The institute held several international conferences, at least one of it with its name: https://aip.scitation.org/toc/apc/49/1
Wikipedia
There are over a dozen other Wikipedia articles mentioning the Bartol Research Institute or the Bartol Research Foundation. It would help to use Wikipedia more efficient if it provides an article what is this institute. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FrankSchroeder (talk • contribs) 09:10, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
