Conflicts
[edit]This page has many conflicts with the Boston wiki page and also with the band's official website. Many of the citation needed tags are the conflicts n question. unfortuantely, my schedule does not allo time to do a complete rewrite of the page, but it needs to be done. Sheehan
[edit]Somewhere halfway through the article it talks about "Sheehan" as if there was some previous reference to whomever this might be. Is the article trying to say Goudreau tours with the bassist Billy Sheehan now? No idea, I just wanted to know more about Barry Goudreau and this confusing Sheehan stuff really jumped out at me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:1970:46C5:4E00:7141:BEFD:8A93:A3A8 (talk) 00:18, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
Lack of Promotion
[edit]The article has for many years attributed the commercial failure of Goudreau's eponymous solo album (even though the music was very good) to a lack of promotion by CBS. ("Lack of promotion" is a cliche found in many Wikipedia entries about albums and artists which don't sell well.) It's hard to know for sure 40-plus years later how hard CBS's promotional staff worked on the album, but the sketchy historical record suggests that CBS made some effort to sell the album. In 1980 and 1981, CBS's mail-order affiliate Columbia House even made it one of the albums you could buy for 1 cent plus shipping from the Columbia Record Club. One thing we do know for sure is that Scholz and Goudreau had an unhappy working relationship, but it is unclear if Scholz actually asked CBS to stop promoting Goudreau's record, and it is even less clear if CBS would have (hypothetically) even honored such a request.
