Heights
[edit]There's a bit of confusion as to the number of stories of each of the buildings. The site is commonly referred to, in older newspapers post-completion, as containing 27 and 17 story buildings, whereas the more recent LA Times articles says the largest building has 25.[1] To add to the confusion, the older article (NY Times, "712-UNIT PROJECT FINISHED ON COAST") clearly contains a typo, as it suggests that there are two 27-storey towers. I've visually confirmed that the large one looks like 25 (the smaller ones seem to be 15 or 16, depending on where you start the count from). Anyway, long storey (pun!) short, I'm removing mention of the heights. Bromley86 (talk) 14:55, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
If I do add heights, it'll likely be based on this article ("including a 27-story building and two 17-story units"). They must be including sub-basements, which firefighters might not. Bromley86 (talk) 00:52, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
FHA insurance/loan
[edit]Looks like Louis Lesser claimed to have paid back the $18.7 million loan to the FHA,[2] but hadn't actually done so.[3] Bromley86 (talk) 20:18, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Photo
[edit]This article really needs at least a photo of at least the main building. Anyone wondering around Wilshire with a phone or camera and a spare minute could probably take a decent shot from the Chase ATM and upload it to Commons. Bromley86 (talk) 21:35, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
