Cleanup
[edit]Interesting article, a few points:
The content is a bit unbalanced for the title (Craigie, Angus). Bear in mind that Craigie is an existing district of Dundee. It might be worth reading WP:UKTOWNS for guidelines on what to include in articles on settlements.
Craigie has not been in Angus for a very long time.
There are a few issues with the style. WP:MOS would be of some help. Boldface should only be used for the initial mention of the subject in the first sentence as per WP:LEAD.

Hi, Catfish Jim!
Thank you very much for your helpful hints and tips. I'm new, as you know, so every bit of advice is welcome!
In hindsight I wish I had created an article entitled "Barony of Craigie (Angus/Forfar)" instead of "Craigie, Angus." The focus is on the history and people of the barony, and not at all balanced in the direction of Craigie, as you noted. I'll make that switch at some point, and abandon Craigie to those with more knowledge than I.
Based on the article List of Scottish Feudal Baronies I'll rename "Craigie, Angus" to "Scottish feudal barony of Craigie." If there is an easy way to rename an article versus migrate it, I'm all ears!
I'll adopt the style points you raise when I migrate the article.
Thank you again.

Referencing
[edit]I noticed a lot of the references in this article are duplicated. The way to avoid this is to format the references as follows:
For the Warden book, for example, a better way to format the citation is as follows:
<ref name=Warden> {{cite book | last = Warden | first = A.J. | title = Angus of Forfarshire, the land and people, descriptive and historical. | year = 1885 | volume = 5 | publisher = Charles Alexander & Co. | location = Dundee}}</ref>
Then on subsequent reference to that book, you would simply use <ref name=Warden/>, with no close tag.

Hello, Catfish Jim!
Thank you again for the cleanup and the advice on references. I have a batch of new information to post, and a re-ordering of the present information, so I'll change the references then as well. That'll be this weekend, I'd estimate.
Thank you again for your patient guidance and assistance.

- No problem... glad to help.
- Another issue is that of describing Craigie as in Angus... At one point it was in Forfarshire, but it is not currently in Angus, which is the lighter coloured area on this map:
Hi, Catfish Jim.
Thanks for the map! I added that to the article, along with a bevy of historical data and what I believe to be a much more aesthetically pleasing format. Comments and advice are always welcome!
Thanks again and best regards,

Sources, external links
[edit]The 'Sources, external links' section of this article is a little odd and would seem to imply that some of it is based on original research. For instance one source is described as 'researcher' and another 'personal communication from the office of the Lord Lyon'. Dunarc (talk) 19:08, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
