Death of Marc Bolan
[edit]On 16 September 1977, a car driven by Gloria Jones and carrying her boyfriend, named Marc Bolan, failed to navigate a small humpback bridge near Barnes, London, lost control and slammed into a metal-and-wood post and then a tree, claiming his life directly and critically injuring her. With her foot trapped beneath the clutch by the engine, her brother found her in the car, though conscious after the crash. Jones’ brother found her boyfriend, named Bolan, unconscious in the dislodged passenger seat of the purple Mini, which landed in the rear of the car after the impact. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene on their arrival near the post. The crash sent his girlfriend, named Jones, directly to a hospital in London for treatment, where she fought for her life while in critical condition after sustaining a broken jaw. 2603:7000:B500:5D4:C5D8:9A55:39D7:94D9 (talk) 15:32, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
