Renaming.
[edit]I suggest renaming this Bark at the Moon (album), as I've made a page for Bark at the Moon (song). -- Kevin Browning 03:47, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
"Slow Down."
[edit]I have noted on the "Slow Down" song page, which does not not refer to the Ozzy song, that a disambiguation page needs to be created so I can make a page for the Ozzy song. -- Kevin Browning 06:26, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
...but I have a Guitar Player magazine somewhere with a Jake E Lee interview from 1984 and Jake states that he worked [partially? wholly? one song or more? it is not clear from his statement] from a rough work tape that had Randy on it that Ozzy had. I had read that back in '84 and never thought much about it until I just now read this article on wikipedia. 25 years ago is a long time ago, but somehow, I don't know, I just don't know what to think. Let me dig up the mag...
Okay, Jake's statement "the tape [...] with Randy is rough and meant to be a scratch tape..."
Lets see, what tape? Doesn't come up again till... Jake said [which song? songs?] he had to play it pretty much "note for note" per Ozzy [from the tape].
Just that little bit...
What made me think is this statement from Jake: "[he] could hardly wait to do his own [original] collaboration with Ozzy once they got past this stage."
What else do they cover in the interview?
He (Jake) expressed dissatisfaction with the way he had put down his guitar tracks "with too much effects" and the effects had a "dissolution" (weakening?) effect on his guitar sound [on the album]. He stated "[he] knows now to record [his guitar tracks] dry... that effects can be added later..." ... "but for this album it was too late to change it."
Certainly this is way too vague and Jake is speaking generally and not for anyone but himself. Let me reread the whole interview and I promise I will figure this out and get back here... ellison847@yahoo.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.150.167.135 (talk) 03:47, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Glam metal
[edit]Heavy metal should be replaced with Glam metal here, since the album is pretty far away from traditional heavy metal and very "glam metal", as it is very poppy in places with heavy use of synthesizers. 86.154.171.217 (talk) 12:18, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- Not a trace of the so-called 'glam metal' on this record.104.169.18.4 (talk) 23:08, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
