Babai River

[edit]

Hi LADave: noticed your recent edit regarding the Babai River. Correct is that it bisects the park. But it is not the same as the Suheli. The Babai flows into the Karnali at about 28.37197° lat / 81.21314° long, i.e. still within Nepali borders, but does not cross the border into Uttar Pradesh. If you have ever been to the Bardia NP by road: at about 28.52946° / 81.32518°, i.e. shortly after entering the park, you cross a river over a bridge: this is the Babai.
The other river that bisects the park is the Bheri: this crosses into India much farther southeast, south of Gularia. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 16:11, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Suheli flows farther west and enters India some 50 km northwest from the south-westernmost border of the Bardia NP / Karnali River. BhagyaMani (talk) 16:34, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
