Notability concerns
[edit]Having gone through the sources in the article, I don't see Braathen meeting WP:BASIC or WP:ANYBIO. Of the sources cited:
- The Atlantic: 2 brief paragraphs about her art salon, in an article about many different salons.
- upperdelaware.com: local, promotional ("things to do")
- springriverschool.org: no contribution to notability
- artforum.com: no contribution to notability
- journals.openedition.org: no contribution to notability
- recordonline.com: no contribution to notability
- artnet.com x7: no contribution to notability
- Orlando Sentinel: no contribution to notability
- CUE Art Foundation: no contribution to notability
- Art in America: no contribution to notability
- "specific object": no contribution to notability
- Beyond Kandinsky: no contribution to notability
In my own search, I find many brief mentions of her gallery, but no significant coverage of her. Schazjmd (talk) 00:14, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Barbara Braathen is the gallerist/curator/presenter, not the artist featured in these shows reviewed by many art publications. Her notability is in her pioneer work as a major player in the Eighties in New York City when she showcased emerging artists, as Jean Michel Basquiat. Cynecitta (talk) 14:24, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
