Standard Galician
[edit]A parallel translation in Standard Galician would be illuminating.
Basque
[edit]Is there Basque among the sources? Sanqueico reminds of Jaungoikoa (see also Jingo) with a folk etymology of san.
- There is also mutilo (rapaces, criados, fillos, aprendices de afiador) reminding of Basque mutil ("boy").
- However, bato (pai) seems Caló and brote (pan) and doco (can) point to German.

Paragüeiro
[edit]I'm from Galicia, and I want to say that in Galicia, we say "paraugueiro", that comes fron "paraugas" (umbrella). In Spanish, we say "paragüero", from "paraguas". Don't mix the two languages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.57.225.89 (talk) 17:16, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
