Need Resolve

Muhandes Asking your help.. A Bangladeshi extended confirmed user named Zl Jony continuous basis reverting updates related to to Bankura University wiki article either it logo or any other, from last 1 year I'm watching he's aggressively reverting or deleted specially my updates. Overall any wiki article isn't a personal property, anybody can update. YIf you this wiki article's Edit history, i have tried as possible for me to update like Rest of Indian Universities articles either it logo OR other info, There shouldn't be monopoly. multiple numbers of logo I also uploaded in different wiki article, Whenever other users decided need correction, they corrected. @Kulbhushan Jhadav: If you have a dispute with ZI Jony, the first step would be to discuss it with them, rather than start an edit war. I now pinged them correctly, so they can join the discussion.

To start with, both this and this are incorrect. See the documentation at Template:Infobox university, the purpose of |logo= is Use for an athletics logo, corporate emblem, or similar graphic., definitely not for repeating the same logo, this time with or without the title. I went ahead and removed the |logo= field.

We therefore need to choose between two candidates for the logo, File:Bankura University Logo.png, which includes the title, and File:Logo of Bankura University.png, which is a logo only, and I now corrected to have transparent background. My preference is without the title from two reasons:

The title is already available several times. Adding it again does not add to the recognizability.
It is uncustomary at WP:INEI articles. I don't know other counties, but I edited most of the 900ish university articles in India and it is very uncommon, probably from the above reason.

But frankly, one logo in one article is not worth the dispute. --Muhandes (talk) 18:33, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
