Okay, let's do this. I was just in this area so I must have seen this species. Sabine's Sunbird talk 05:52, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Were you up at the rabbit proof fence?? It is such a cool area...Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:31, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Follicles open with fire.l Can you link follicles? I'm not a botanist and the term is unfamiliar to me in this context. Also, maybe more context would help here. Follicles on the seeds I assume?
yerp - now linked to Follicle (fruit) Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:30, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • New growth has been recorded in spring and autumn, and may possibly occur over the summer. - Is growth tied to variation in rains maybe?
it's a Mediterranean climate with wet winter and dry summer. Their roots reach the water table, and I think the plants are just active when it's warmer, but I have never seen it explicitly written down anywhere (and I have just about everything written on banksias) Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:30, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Figured it was worth asking. Sabine's Sunbird talk 09:22, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • one of two broad groups according to their response to fire: I know its fairly obvious but after introducing the two types it may be worth being explicit about which this species is by using the term you introduce.

Otherwise I'll have another look tomorrow and pass this. Sabine's Sunbird talk 09:22, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose).
2c. it contains no original research.
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic.
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content. You may want to play with File:Banksiaspectrummap.png as the box containing the info seems to be formatted slightly wrong. The info is there but not showing properly
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
7. Overall assessment.
