Happy to take a look. Josh Milburn (talk) 19:06, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • "The adaxial surface faces north and is inclined at around 15 degrees off vertical" This all feels a bit technical!
changed to "upper" surface Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:02, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The leaf laminae" Ditto
changed to leaf blades Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:02, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "4 cm (1 5⁄8 in) wide" That looks like false precision
rounded Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:02, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "termed the outer surface" That looks like words-as-words quoting, meaning that "outer surface" should be italicised. Or am I wrong?
no, you're correct. italicised Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:04, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "obovate (egg-shaped)" but "wedge-shaped (cuneate)"; this feels inconsistent!
whoops, forgot to mark this last one off as 'done'! over to you.... Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 09:12, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "1.0–1.5 cm (3⁄8–5⁄8 in) long by 1.4–2.0 cm (1⁄2–3⁄4 in) wide" Are you using the same level of precision in these two conversions? I feel that you should be.
they are actually (both frac=8) Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:02, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "1.2–1.4 cm (1⁄2–1⁄2 in) long by 1.8–2.0 cm (3⁄4–3⁄4 in)" Perhaps not the most helpful!
fine-tuned Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:02, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "reticulated" is jargon, I think
tweaked Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 05:27, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "or 'teeth' on each side" Why single quotes?
removed Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:39, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • You seem to switch dash styles between "Distribution and habitat" and "Ecology"
emdashed Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:39, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "mallee-heat" Jargon
linked - "heathland" sounds more accessible to me than "heath" Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:08, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • What is "regrading"?
resurfacing of roads where they go along with a big grader...aaaand sometimes wipe out endangered plants on the roadside...one of those facepalm type moments...sigh. changed to "resurfacing" Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 02:12, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Banksia petiolaris has the longest-lived angiosperm leaves so far recorded – a study published in 1992 recorded a lifespan of up to 13 years for a single leaf, while leaves of 10 years of age ably maintained their ability to photosynthesize compared with young leaves." This belongs in the lead! Perhaps the lead could also be expanded with mention of close relatives and a mention of the two separate ranges.
lead expanded Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:23, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • The cultivation section jumps straight into how-to material. Perhaps you could consider opening the section by saying that the plant is sometimes used in cultivation (or similar), and then frame the how-to material in a slightly different way so that it reads more like an encyclopedia entry.
rejigged Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:23, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Seeds do not require any treatment, and takes about 18 to 49 days to germinate" I think this needs to be rephrased.
done Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:39, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources look great. I made a few edits; please do double-check them. Josh Milburn (talk) 19:54, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

changes look ok Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:39, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Great; no further comments. Happy to promote. Josh Milburn (talk) 19:46, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
