[edit]Although no doubt it is discussed in other articles, there ought to be a section in this one called Run-up to the Famine which tells WHY the Pakistani army rampaged in the area. Don't leave us guessing. 100.15.127.199 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:18, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
The war happened in 71, the famine happened in 74. This is just another desperate attempt to portray Pakistan as a bogyman. To be clear the claims so far are: 45-50,000 troops killed 3 million people, raped 400,000 AND destroyed the farming sector to the point that only 3 years later did 1.5 million Bengalis die, all during the 71 war. The Pakistani army must be one of the best army in the world to be able to do all that in such a short amount of time. INGoNitE (talk) 06:46, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
