Reception

[edit]

I'm kind of curious as to how any real reception can be drawn about it's critical reception given that, thus far, its "opening week" has lasted all of three days. 64.253.217.50 (talk) 03:28, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Reactions"?

[edit]

"Fans who greatly enjoyed the movie also wish to see Kong played by Shahkrit Yamnarm in a sequel. According to one fan 'Shahkrit Yamnarm seems to be a great actor with lots of potential. Remove the accent though this guy speaks fluent English so don't limit his role. I would pay to see something like this.'"

This seems like the person who wrote this simply stated their own opinion, I think it should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.217.119.216 (talk) 19:39, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

[edit]

The plot is fine at 400 words and the additional 299 words all about the second and third kills (and including (since it is a rated "R" film, the breasts were fully exposed)) do not improve the article. Darrenhusted (talk) 21:34, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate Ending

[edit]

I saw this movie a couple of days ago on TV, and it had an alternate ending. Cage (Joe, or whatever his name was) didn't kill himself, he had a second thought, killed Surat and escaped with the help of Kong. The locals hosted him till his wounds got better, then he got out of country, leaving a good sum of cash for Kong... Not that I care or anything, but maybe you could incorporate it into the Plot section. 212.118.239.254 (talk) 15:36, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

[edit]

just finished watching the movie while following this plot summary, as i sometimes do... review: this wiki's plot summary is too rudimentary to be considered reliable... mix-ups in continuity of the story; plot points are missing; unimportant facts can be shortened... one example: toward the end it says Cage saves Kong & Aom, but there's no mention prior to that about what had happened to them for which they needed saving... also, Kong & Aom: theres some attraction shown between them but it hasn't become "romantically involved"... and the description of "a nameless (possibly 'Rain') deaf pharmacist dancer"... really?? for that matter, why don't we just say "a nameless (possibly 'Rain') deaf pharmacist dancer who seems like a nice girl from a nice family and has pretty hair and is good with elephants"? by the way, the ending i watched is as described in the existing plot summary, Cage kills himself and Serat with one shot head-to-head in the back of the car... but summary fails to mention that Kong views the occurrence as an anonymous bystander... i'll make a quick edit while i have a minute, but generally just wanted to announce the problems here too~ here's the source specifics, which i may try to add but its not my strong point: version aired Friday November 29, 5:30-7:15pm; The Cinema channel, Hikari TV, Japan (studio/production/distribution credits match whats listed in the wiki) Japanglish (talk) 10:46, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

deaf girl

[edit]

i just revised the "plot" section to more adequately summarize but only got as far as the "third killing" paragraph; out of time right now, hope i remember to come back to it! one thing which needs consensus: the NAME of the deaf pharmacist Cage meets: prior to my edit, the summary wishy-washingly referred to her as "possibly 'Rain'" (even that in parenthesis) then continued haphazardly referring to her as 'Rain'... i'd been watching the movie while reviewing the plot summary, but my attention mustve been distracted because i didnt catch any mention of her name... who heard "Rain"?? i edited it to simply say "girl" or "deaf girl" and that may be enough seeing as her name's inconsequential to the movie.
