Banaue Rice Terraces not included in UNESCO inscription
[edit]Contrary to popular belief, the Banaue Rice Terraces as seen from the viewpoint and as pictured in the article are NOT included in the UNESCO World Heritage Inscription Rice terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras. The five clusters in the UNESCO World Heritage List are Batad, Bangaan, Mayoyao, Hungduan & Nagacadan. Please see notes below the maps: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/722/multiple=1&unique_number=853
So therefore, the photo of the rice terraces is wrong because that is the Banaue Viewpoint and it is not in the UNESCO World Heritage List

Other Terraces
[edit]To the Next One who will edit this, please create an article about the whole Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras. Please mention the fact that the rice terraces are not confined to Banaue; terraces are also found in Bontoc and many other places/towns in Mountain Province and Ifugao. Please also mention that Banaue Rice terraces is a collective name to several pockets of terraces within Banaue town: like Hapao Rice Terraces, Batad Rice Terraces, etc. This article alone is full of misconceptions about this understated 8th wonder-- 203.177.219.27

Question
[edit]Why is this article focuses on the Banaue Rice Terraces, and not on the Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras generally? Are the Banaue Rice Terraces the most famous or something like that? Tomer T 22:43, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Dont worry, I will remove the redirect tag in the generalized page–Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras. I'll be editing that soon or if you want, go ahead. Much better for greater outcome. --βritand&βeyonce (talk•contribs) 09:18, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
