[edit]Any insight on this article guys? It was a fairly big dilemma around my University? Pcwarden1990 (talk) 14:15, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- The whole thing seems a bit silly to this BRITON, when one can buy the ingredients for a Jägerbomb or a rum and coke without difficulty. I know the drinking age is higher in the US than it is here in Britain, but when did that ever stop the determined drinker? Mr Larrington (talk) 02:09, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
The page to me is informative though references are out of date. The information does provide a caution though vaguely describes the effects encountered. Some additional information to the the effects of individuals, or of possible case studies would be helpful. The page does not seem to bias on either side, though could use some more examples of issues that people have encountered. Please continue to the contributions to the page to better inform caffeine and alcoholic effects. Rgrijalv (talk) 03:01, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
Coverage
[edit]We need to either widen this to include the situation in other countries or move it to US ban on caffeinated alcoholic beverages as it is entirely focused on the US for now. Valenciano (talk) 11:43, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]This article is about the discussion of a ban of a product in a single country. We really can't have wikipedia articles every time there was a discussion in a single country about banning a single product. It should simply be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.68.12.71 (talk) 10:22, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

Illegal in new jersey
[edit]The see also page mentions they are specifically made illegal by law in new jersey, but the page on alcohol laws in new jersey in wikipedia it links to explicitly mentions that caffeinated alcohol drinks are not made illegal. 68.113.10.71 (talk) 23:18, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
Invalid source
[edit]Source 12 in the article links to https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0149763414001729?via%3Dihub - which is a review that is just a google search. The sources in this review directly counteract its own claims (such as https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0376871600001964). This sentence and source should just be removed as the statement is misleading at best. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:5F81:32E0:B0CD:D051:6D17:DBFB (talk) 17:02, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
Update verbiage
[edit]The word "will" is used a couple times in this article to refer to things that have already happened. We might want to update this to reflect the present times. SpiralSource (talk) 11:07, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
Adverse effects
[edit]I've been told that mixing alcohol and caffeine is bad for your heart, and for this reason, drinks like vodka-redbulls should be avoided. If there's some validity to that, it should be mentioned under the adverse effects section. If there isn't validity to that, I think it would do well to dispel the myth under the adverse effects section too. 66.60.169.106 (talk) 14:15, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
