What is this exactly?

[edit]
agreed! is it like...the golden globes or the sag's? 24.60.66.216 (talk) 19:51, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. Maybe someone who can read German can look at "History" at the website and help us out .... --Lquilter (talk) 20:03, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed the lead to more accurately indicate what this award is...but man, this article's format sucks! The list is horrible! I've boldly removed it per other major award articles and changed this to a more appropriate stub. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 02:18, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • You don't need to know much German to get a sense of the prize's categories if you take a look at the German Wikipedia version. In 2012, there was comedy, entertainment, film, music, sports, environmental advocacy, and "civil courage." Some others you may need to run through a translator, but the basic idea is that they're for everything. In some cases, such as with film, there's an award for Germany and for foreign countries. --BDD (talk) 20:21, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bambi (prize)Bambi Award – While it's clear that these awards are officially only referred to as Bambis, their WP:COMMONAME, especially in English, seems to be "Bambi Awards." See bambi prize -wikipedia and bambi award -wikipedia. Also try adding -award and -prize to those searches, respectively. The former gets clogged with irrelevant examples, while the latter remains focused. The proposed title has the added benefit of being WP:NATURAL disambiguation. A singular form would still be appropriate for the title, however; compare to Grammy Award or Emmy Award. --BDD (talk) 20:17, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I have created Draft:Bambi winners, which is intended to become a comprehensive list of all those who have been awarded a Bambi.--FoxyOrange (talk) 17:43, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
