Secretary of the BNF
[edit]The content stating that Karima Baloch is the secretary of BNF is contentious and an opinion piece poorly sourced from some unknown website i.e http://www.openthemagazine.com shouldn`t be used as a scholarly & reliable source. For inclusion please properly source it from reliable sources. 91.212.53.252 (talk) 14:34, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- It is a mainstream news source, and a reliable source as per WP:NEWSORG. What is your problem with it? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 16:25, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- My problem with it is that it is not a mainstream news source (Source: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/openthemagazine.com), for inclusion please add a scholarly NPOV source to ensure the reliability of the content. 91.212.53.252 (talk) 16:56, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- The url you give says nothing of the kind (and heaven knows what alexa.com is). And, there is nothing called "NPOV source" either. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 17:37, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

The URL I give did say everything of that very kind, "www.openthemagazine.com" is not a reliable source, by NPOV I meant a reliable source my understanding of NPOV is neutral/unbiased POV, Alexa.com is a project of Amazon and gives reliable statistics about the website traffic. I am not against the inclusion of the info, but if you do intend to include it please kindly use a scholarly reliable source to ensure the reliability of the content. - When you want to make claims based on policies, you need to read the policies, and if necessary cite the policy that applies. WP:NPOV does not mean what you just stated.
- The OPEN magazine is a magazine, not a web site. Whatever Amazon or anybody else says about the web site is of no consequence. You are welcome to take your evidence to WP:RSN and see what other expert editors say about it.
- "Scholarly sources" generally won't be available for current events and current information. We can look for them if there is anything contentious. You haven't pointed out anything contentious here. It is just a simple matter of fact. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 11:46, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
I don`t want to get involved in a conflict with a senior wikipedia editor, I have said it over and over again that I am not against the inclusion of the info but I am still not buying your claim that www.openthemagazine.com is a mainstream news source, have you been quoting authoritative magazines like the diplomat, newsweek, times etc we won`t be having this conflict in the first place. Alexa is a reliable source which ranks websites as per the reliable statistics available based on the web traffic. The traffic data available (Source: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/openthemagazine.com) also nullifies the claim that "www.openthemagazine.com" is a mainstream news source. I am not against its inclusion, but for inclusion please cite reliable authoritative sources incase of their unavailability kindly remove it until you can find better reliable sources to back it up. 91.212.53.252 (talk) 08:53, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
