Place name
[edit]The common name for this place in English is Baile na nGall. That should be the title for the article.
- WP:NCGN - If a native name is more often used in English sources than a corresponding traditional English name, then use the native name.
- WP:IMOS - Where the English and Irish-language names are different: and the Irish name is official and has gained favour in English, use the official Irish name.
- WP:EN - Where there is an English word, or exonym, for the subject but a native version is more common in English-language usage, the English name should be mentioned but should not be used as the article title.

- It isn't.
- Don't change IMOS to what you want it to say, without getting agreement first. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 15:12, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- It is. This could go on for a while. The naming policy is based on the prevalence of that name in useful reliable English language sources, I can show you the sources that I will be using to write this article that use the correct Irish language name. Perhaps you can show a few useful reliable sources that use the anglicization if you are so insistent that the article should use that version as the name.
