I am not sure that "The Scotsman" is a particularly reliable source for producing league tables, far less balanced news coverage.

This final sentence just seems pointless.

What about Malleny House? Kitchen Moss? The Johnsburn Hotel - with it's listed ceiling in the oak lined room?...

Absolutely nothing about the history of the town apart from the paper mill and railway. Oh... and the school being in the league tables.

Much more to Balerno than this.

Lots of repetition in this article too.

  • I've made a start on adding something about Malleny gardens and the music festival. I've also moved a few things into a new category - "Culture & attractions" - feel free to edit in more suitable heading --Splorp uk (talk) 12:23, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm making a start on making this page a little more consistent in terms of headings and content with the other pages for South West Edinburgh suburbs. I'm looking at Balerno, Juniper Green, Currie, Colinton and Baberton to start with. Any comments welcome. Splorp uk (talk) 14:12, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
