Knot above?
[edit]Does anyone know what type of knot is tied on top? If so it would be good to mention it.

- The knot in the diagram isn't detailed enough to really identify it specifically, though it's generally bowline-esque -- which is the knot mentioned in ABOK and would be the logical choice for a simple fixed loop at the end of a rope. I've attempted to make it clearer that the bale sling hitch is the arrangement around an object rather than the specific manner of forming the loop used to make it. --Dfred (talk) 12:42, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
