Though this issue is controversial, a balance must be attained whereby a bias isn't constituted one way or another. Employing use of certain language clearly illustrates the developer in a negative manner. Those who oppose the development have absolutely skewed this article completely toward one viewpoint to misinform the reader. 64.75.219.178 (talk) 01:22, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
This is a controversial issue and it appears the developer is trying to erase one side. This article is an important part of history, and should not be edited for commercial reasons. I encourage and invite assistance from senior wikipedia volunteers. Teller17 (talk) 04:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Map needs to be fixed, article updated
[edit]Noticed that the map image is of the wrong "Great Guana Cay" (there are two in the Bahamas). The image shows the "Great Guana Cay" that is part of the Exuma Cays. The Great Guana Cay mentioned in this article is actually located off the northeast coast of Central Abaco (Great Abaco Island).
Also, though it is not entirely clear in this article, the Golf and Ocean Club has been constructed. I'll have to find some sources, but I believe the development's negative impact on the environment through nutrient runoff and habitat destruction has been described. In fairness, it would probably also be good to dig up some info on what the economic benefits of the development have been.
