recent changes
[edit]I wonder about two recent changes:
- The word balija is used as a derogatory way to reffer to muslims in former Yugoslavia. Much like the word "Nigger" is a derogatory word for black people. Therefore whoever wrote that he has not insulted people as a whole, is very much wrong.
- The statement that "balija" can be taken as an insult was removed. One of the first Google hits for "balija" is this entry in the Urban Dictionary that contains that information. I haven't a clue about this language, but if it's true that the word is used as an insult, then that information was relevant and should remain in the article.
- "BosniaHerzegovina-bio-stub" was changed to "Serbia-bio-stub". Wikipedia:Categorization of people says that people are categorized by nationality, not ethnicity. The text says that the singer is a Bosnian Serb and was born in Bosnia. If the change reflects information that he is or has become a citizen of Serbia, then that should be included in the text; if not, this is a Bosnia-Herzegovina stub. The same is true for the other categorizations involving "Serbian"; e.g. there's a category "Musicians from Bosnia and Herzegovina".

- I think that this is missleading and insultingly written article.--89.172.20.114 13:15, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Very Bias POV article
[edit]I myself am a Yugoslav from the SFRY.
The person who edited the article seems to have been very Nationalistic and bias in the writing of the article. The editor has taken a POV in defending the singer without any sources. I ask that this article either be re-edited, marked as a POV article, or deleted since much of the text is just someone's POV.
The word "Balija" is a derogatory slang against Bosniaks.
Balija is an expression that can be used for members of any faith or nation.
In the case of this song is exclusively about the war leader Alija Izetbegovic.
Meaning of the word: spendthrift, prowler, aggressive, lazy, drone, spendthrift, churl...

His car!
[edit]This is the first time I've ever seen the make of car that someone drives mentioned under "personal life". How can that possibly be of interest to anyone - except maybe Saab's sales department? It's not as if this is a particularly striking kind of car - and, even if it were, who cares? Next thing you'll be telling us he owns a parrot called Henry that can swear in six languages...84.243.236.9 (talk) 14:56, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- Such a parrot would definitely be mentionable. That's for sure. The Saab, well... If there were some more interesting information, I would be in favour of striking it. But since there is very little, this does at least say something about him. So better this than nothing. 90.186.170.236 (talk) 03:12, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
Can we see a source for the claim that Baja Mali Knindza got his "Baja" from the other Baja? Because Nedeljko Bajić is two years younger than the little Knindza and apparently became active three years later than him. I mean it's still possible because the little Knindza must have adopted his stage name during the war anyway, but it seems a bit doubtful nevertheless. 90.186.170.236 (talk) 03:12, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
