Comments:

  • I created his commonscat and added it to the external links section.
    • Thanks!
  • There is a Phillies picture of him on Commons: File:Bailey Falter (cropped).jpg. I'll let you decide whether you want to add it or not.
    • Eh, it's pretty low-quality, we'll leave it for now.
  • "pitching a scoreless inning in relief" If we're linking relief, we should probably link inning too.
    •  Done
  • "In his final season with Chino Hills, Falter had a 6–2 win–loss record and a 1.20 earned run average (ERA), and he struck out 97 hitters in 75+2⁄3 innings pitched" change to "In his final season with Chino Hills, Falter had a 6–2 win–loss record, a 1.20 earned run average (ERA), and he struck out 97 hitters in 75+2⁄3 innings pitched"
    •  Done
  • "in the fifth round, 144th overall, of the 2015 MLB draft" change to "in the fifth round, with the 144th overall pick, of the 2015 MLB draft"
    •  Done
  • "pitching two innings in relief for Philadelphia's 12–2 loss to the Colorado Rockies" change "for" to "in"?
    • Don't like repeating "in". Changed to "during".

Spot checks:

  • Gelb, Matt (June 29, 2021). "Copying Koufax: Bailey Falter's 'unusual' delivery and his father's dream power long-strided journey to the Phillies". The Athletic. The New York Times
    • The article "His season ended on July 6, when he was diagnosed with an ulnar collateral ligament injury of the elbow" but the ref doesn't say he was diagnosed that day.
      • Changed to "sustained".
    • Article says "This delivery is modeled after Sandy Koufax, Falter's favorite childhood pitcher." but I don't see in the source where it says it was modeled after Koufax. I guess it's insinuated though since they both had long strides.
      • I mean, the article is called "Copying Koufax", and but I added a ref that explicitly says Falter employs a unique pitching delivery, taking a longer stride down the mound than most, saying he was inspired by Sandy Koufax.
    • Everything else for this ref looks good.
  • "Phillies Post-2016 Top 30 Prospect Rankings: 21–25". Fox Sports. March 4, 2020
    • Looks good.
  • "Cutters notebook: Falter's demeanor leads to better results". Williamsport Sun-Gazette. July 2, 2016
    • Looks good.
  • "Cutters notebook: Falter throwing harder than he ever has". Williamsport Sun-Gazette. July 29, 2016
    • Looks good.
  • Salisbury, Jim (December 1, 2020). "Bailey Falter Gets Long-Awaited Call". Baseball America
    • Looks good.
  • Coffey, Alex (June 12, 2023). "Phillies don't have much starting pitching depth, but for now, they see Bailey Falter as their best option". The Philadelphia Inquirer
    • Looks good.
  • Destin, Andrew (June 24, 2024). "An 'exhausted' Bailey Falter struggles again in Pirates' lopsided loss to Reds". Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
    • Looks good.
