I have obtained the winners before 1988 from some photos of the "winners board" sent to me by Wincanton racecourse. Currently checking with Wincanton, but I am hoping to be able to upload the photos as reference.
The trainer of Beau Normand is a strange one - as it is clearly specified on the board as R. Turnel, but I agree with bcp67 that this must be Bob Turnell (bit before my day but I remember Andy Turnell training for Jim Joel). (JockeyColours (talk) 21:40, 19 November 2014 (UTC))
- Good work there, wondered what the source was, would be good if those pictures were able to be uploaded. Beau Normand was definitely Bob Turnell (Andy's father), he trained the horse to win a div of the Gloucestershire Hurdle, now the Supreme Novices, at Cheltenham in 1961. --Bcp67 (talk) 22:08, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
