Reviewer: Smarojit (talk · contribs) 12:05, 9 August 2013 (UTC) Looks excellent, shall review it. --smarojit HD 12:05, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
- I contributed to this article, so I will be available to assist in the review. QatarStarsLeague (talk) 16:45, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
- Lead
- " It is situated close to the Portuguese border, on the left bank of the river Guadiana, and the Madrid–Lisbon railway." This is not my area of expertise, but "..the Madrid-Lisbon railway" doesn't seem quite right.
- Does the cathedral mentioned here refer to the Badajoz Cathedral? If so, please name it.
- History
- I would wikilink Extremadura.
- Would also link the reference to the Moors and the "see".
- "Their victory forced the king of Portugal to desert the city and it fell into neglect." No citation present.
- " It's a bit odd that "In 1694, the Hospital de San Sebastián was founded" is mentioned immediately after this sentence: "In 1640 the city was attacked during the Portuguese Restoration War."
- Don't think "freak floods" is a very encyclopaedic phrase.
- Geography and climate
- More citations needed for the first two paragraphs of this section.
- Demographics
- No citation provided for the 2010 census.
- Economy
- What is the A-5? Some explanation needed.
- Not sure why the presence of a water and leisure park is mentioned in this section.
- Because it's a significant tourist attraction, quite important to the economy.
- Notable landmarks
- I assume that the cathedral referred to in the first paragraph is the Badajoz Catheral. Also, isn't the mosque mentioned the Badajoz Alcazaba? Please mention the names, and wikilink them.
- What's the "Casa Álvarez-Buiza"? Is it a private house too?
- Yup.
- Culture and education
- Is there more information on the ""Feria de San Juan"? It currently mentioned that it "also includes bull fights". What else does it include?
- Transport
- "Badajoz Railway Station, Spanish: Estación de Tren de Badajoz, (IATA: BQZ), s" does not follow the format used for other translations. Needs to be consistent.
- References
- The online refs 102 and 103 are dead. Please replace them.
- I don't see any more problems as of now. Good job. Let me know when these issues have been addressed. --smarojit HD 04:21, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
