Filming

[edit]

@Rusted AutoParts: Please provide actual verification that filming has begun before moving this page again. A production list is not reliable be. This cited source was last updated last month, so how are we supposed to trust that it actually happened? Take Renfield (film) for example, where some production lists (and even the New Orleans Film Office) said production began a month before it actually did. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:18, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dude stop tug of warring, there are two sources in the article that corroborate production has started. Just because a production delay happens on one other production doesn’t make it the case for every other production. The film production office of the state explicitly lists it as currently in production, I linked that in the article and you still yanked it back to draftspace (even removing said proof). Please return it to main, filming is sourced. Rusted AutoParts 19:23, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Rusted AutoParts: Both of these sources came out before filming began. They merely state a scheduled production date. It is common for a film office to list a film 'in production' when the date passes. We need verification. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:30, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
…The states film production office EXPLICITLY LISTS Marcel as “currently IN production”, what are you talking about? Also “It is common for a film office to list a film 'in production' when the date passes”, that’s original research. From my experience you don’t list something as in production if it’s not actually in production, especially when it’s the film office for the state. Rusted AutoParts 19:31, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Rusted AutoParts: Again, Renfield is a recent example. The film office for New Orleans said filming began a month before it actually did. We need verification. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:45, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
They never listed Renfield as IN production though, they set a start date that either meant pre-production began on that day or delays happened. The source you deleted out of this page here had Marcel S1 listed under “Currently In Production”. Big difference. Rusted AutoParts 19:54, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Rusted AutoParts: We still need some sort of confirmation/verification. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:57, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I linked it in the page, you deleted it.. Rusted AutoParts 20:00, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This? Again, we need confirmation/verification. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 20:02, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What needs verification? The film office is stating it’s in production, I literally just explained the difference between listing a production on their list and listing a production currently in production. Rusted AutoParts 20:07, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Each state and/or city film office is different. Some update their film production list every week, some two-three weeks, and others every month. Some TV/film industry websites are also like that. — YoungForever(talk) 20:08, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@YoungForever: How are we supposed to know when the list was last updated? Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 20:09, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
How does when the list is updated negate the fact the show is literally listed “IN production”? Rusted AutoParts 20:11, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It could have been changed to 'IN production' days or even weeks before the start date. I still think we should wait for at least some confirmation. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 20:21, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Original research shouldn’t be dictating this. We can’t assume when they updated, what we have is the film office explicitly stating the show, under its shooting name, was in production, it’s not throwing up a random day it’s set to start, it’s saying IN production. Not every film or show gets a clapperboard picture to show cameras roll sometimes all we get is a source like the film office marking it as currently in production. Rusted AutoParts 20:27, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If it is listed as currently in production, then it is in production. Otherwise, it would be listed under pre-production. Also, from the archive on January 22, 2022, Marcel was not listed as currently in production, please see Webarchive 1/22/2022. — YoungForever(talk) 21:01, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Some Dude From North Carolina: so can the article be returned to mainspace now? Rusted AutoParts 22:45, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I guess so. Yes. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:45, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Rusted AutoParts and YoungForever: Deadline just reported that filming is set to begin later this month. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 17:16, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deadlines not always on the ball with when something starts filming or not. Regardless the film office still has it in production so I don’t see any issues keeping it mainspace. Rusted AutoParts 17:34, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves

[edit]

I hope you guys are done moving this page around. You know these moves from draft to main space are logged by a bot and this page has had a lot of activity over the past 24 hours. Liz Read! Talk! 02:02, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion above had a proper resolution, so yes the moving is done. Rusted AutoParts 09:53, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
