Is this article needed?
[edit]Is there any need for this article in addition to Internet backbone and a Wiktionary entry? Nurg 22:50, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes! But it is written incorrectly*. (sigh). No matter where I look on topics concerning the internet routing etc. The info is just not correct. --akc9000 (talk • contribs • count) 15:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I corrected the definition of what a backbone network is, I will have to come back at a later date and correct it further. I could not leave it wrong. --akc9000 (talk • contribs • count) 15:41, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Doesn't backbone usually refer to the Plenum? --Ramu50 (talk) 23:56, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
No, it's not related to spaces between walls / ceillings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.254.196.106 (talk) 16:03, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Merge + pics
[edit]Yes we need this but we certainly do not need collapsed backbone, parallel backbone, distributed backbone, serial backbone. They should all be merged into here. It is much easier to compare and contrast if they are dealt with together.
And above all we need pictures - diagrams for each of the types of networks. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:37, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
no merging needed, just need to expand it.
[edit]need more explanation and reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumitsharma8 (talk • contribs) 09:41, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
